Did you just had a head gasket replaced or did you also get a valve job and new engine rings?
It's possible that when you're head gasket blew, that there was damage or excessive wear the rings caused by excessive heat. If your rings were damaged, you should have replaced them when you replaced the head gasket.
Do a compression test to determine if you've got worn rings or bad valve seal, but could cause excessive oil burn off.Why does a Nissan Altima burn excessive oil after a head gasket replacement?
Were the valves cut? Sometimes when you grind the valves on an engine, the improved sealing will put extra compression onto the piston rings. This happens more to high mileage engines. Why does a Nissan Altima burn excessive oil after a head gasket replacement?
your mechanic is a moron
my guess is the head gasket you replaced wasnt properly done.
It shouldn't. Depending on where it was replaced. I would carrying to a reputable repair shop and let them look at it. If the car is burning oil, check for water in the oil as well. It will look milkly brown. A serious condition that has proven to be fatal for an engine.
