A blown head gasket will most definitely burn oil and will give you loose of performance due to lack of compression. With the smoke you are burning oil.....Can a blown head gasket cause car to burn oil and not run as well as normal?
White smoke would be burning anti freeze not oil.
Yes.
yes but it sounds like you over filled your oil a little and if you have a blown head gasket your VTEC will more then likely not work do to the lack of oil pressure
A blown head gasket will not cause oil consumption. It can cause compression loss and coolant loss in to the exhaust. If you have white smoke out of the exhaust that is a sure sign that you have coolant in the exhaust and the head gasket is most likely the cause.
check your oil if it looks like milk you have a blown head gasket also check your radiator fluid if there is any oil in it you have a blown head gasket
i had a blown head gasket on a pontiac grand am. i was losing water out of radiator,-no puddles on ground or broken hoses so it had to be going out the tail pipe. took it to shop and it was the gasket. it was kind of pricey to fix. didnt use oil
