There is only one fuel oil distributer for my area and he is difficult to work with. I keep asking people this question and I get a wide variety vaguely informed answers. Basically, I can't find anybody who really knows for sure. Thanks for your time.Can I burn regular diesel fuel in my fuel oil furnace?
The #1 diesel used in cars will make your furnace happy and burn clean. The #2 diesel used as home heating oil will work in your car until it gets cold in the winter. Cost is the big problem (fuel taxes can make things complicated even illegal) #1 costs more than #2. RScott
