Why do early saturns burn oil? I have heard of 93-95 car that just eat up oil?

I bought my 95 SW2 at 55k I add between 2-3 quarts per month. Other wise the car is reliable (150,000miles)Why do early saturns burn oil? I have heard of 93-95 car that just eat up oil?
It was the early 90's and most people were still ignorant about our energy sources.


Saturn liked big cars and focused on all of the little extras.....the little extras that ate up gas.


It is because it was a very inefficient car and the engine was bigger than most of todays because the car was.Why do early saturns burn oil? I have heard of 93-95 car that just eat up oil?
