Depends on how well its been taken care of. There is no magic number that it just starts breaking down. How long do Dodge Ram 5.9L V8 engines last for km/mile wise before they start to burn oil on average?
those have good engines in them Chrysler did a recall on the and replaced the bottom gasket on the intake ,and that stooped them from using oil other than that i know of a few that have way over 200 k on them and their still going,if you take care of it there's no way of actually knowing how long it will last, but my neighbors has 223 thousand miles on it and still wont use any oil between changes, all he uses though is synthetic oil ,that may be why his has lasted so good,,good luck with it.How long do Dodge Ram 5.9L V8 engines last for km/mile wise before they start to burn oil on average?
Don't know, mine has 181,000 and don't burn oil yet.
It would depend on how well the engine was taken care of and the brand and type of oil used.
there is a gasket on the bottom plate of the intake manifold that will suck out and cause it to burn oil. chrysler revised the gasket from paper to metal, and once it is replaced it won't happen again.
