Swimming when you have oil burn on your skin?

Is it ok to swim when you have some burns on your skin without the risk of getting it infected? Some hot cooking oil splashed on my arm when I was deep frying. It didnt form blisters as I gave it immediate first aid. However I do have a few spots on my arm where the skin has burned and is dark in color. the biggest one is a cm long.Swimming when you have oil burn on your skin?
The chlorine in the pool water may cause some irritation and a burning sensation. If you want to prevent this get some band aids that seal out ALL moisture. Or if you can find them get Tegaderm occlusive bandages, they look funny but will completely seal out the water.
