My mom works at a restaurant and she burnt her arm. It starts to spread and has a big rash. Im really concerned and i want it to stop. How can she make the rash dissappear and what kind of ointmemt should she use?How do you make a burn from cooking oil dissappear?
DO NOT USE OIL BASED OINTMENTS!!!
that is the first big rule of oil burns, if you use that kind of ointment it will make it worse. use a water based burn ointment, i have an oil burn on my arm at the moment and ive got a product called burn-aid. you can buy it from your local supermarket. see a dr or go to the hospital..as it is spreading it could turn into a 3rd degree burn!!!
the rash wont dissapear as it is not a rash, because it is an oil burn it is reacting with oil in her skin, thats what is making it spread. that rash will turn the skin to a leather kind of feel then in a couple of days it will blister. whatever you do do not try and scrub the 'rash'
see a dr asap
