I WAS WONDERING IF IT MATTERED WHAT TYPE OF OIL CAN BE ADDED INTO THE HEATING FURNACE. CAN I USE FRENCH FRY OIL?
CURIOUS...
BY THE WAY I HAVE A BECKET BURNER.Can you add deep fry oil to burn in heating furnace?
Not without cleaning the deep fry oil of small particles. The burner has very fine jets which spray the oil into the combustion chamber. Any ';crud'; in the fry oil will stop of the jets and cut off the flow of oil.
In addition, the fry oil may burn hotter or more explosively than the kerosene or No. 2 heating oil. That would heat the chamber up too much, creating stress on the furnace, and causing problems. Can you add deep fry oil to burn in heating furnace?
Any fuel, oil or hydrocarbon have imflammable properties. So it will burn.
