What temperature does peanut oil burn at? Is it good for you?

peanut oil will smoke at around 425deg F.

peanut oil has one of the highest smoke points among cooking oils. it's perfect for frying. however, peanut oil imparts a heavy flavor to cooked foods. you can use soybean oil for frying, it has less of a flavor.

in terms of health, neither soybean or peanut oil is the healthiest oils to use if you are gonna fry **** everyday (but fine if using in moderation, obviously.

if you want a healthier oil, use olive oil, for cooking, for frying, use canola, or corn oil. corn oil will impart a flavor to your foods.

sunflower oil is very delicate, and can't be used for frying. What temperature does peanut oil burn at? Is it good for you?
