How to remove oil and burn marks from old stainless steel pan?

Get some stuff called Zud, preferably the powder, but the liquid works, too. Scrub it with an S.O.S. or Brillo. Wear gloves. Zud is hard on your hands. If you can't find Zud, use a copper cleaner.
