Ok, so i asked this question before on got the answer no. But the person who fixed it insists that it was burnt out because it kept trying to kick on to heat the water but because the was no oil to heat it. Is this possible or not and why? i know nothing about this topic. Can running out of oil burn out an aquastat?
I believe any unit that fires at a pre-determined water temp can burn up if theres no failsafe on the oil-supply.Can running out of oil burn out an aquastat?
An aquastat is just a temperature controlled on/off switch. Running out of oil will not cause it.
